What’s the movie about?
Forty-one-year-old Ted Morgan (Seann William Scott) has been treading water his whole life. When his wife leaves him for another man, he finally sees no more sense in his existence and decides to end his life. But before he performs the final act, he wants to visit his hometown one last time to make amends and face the demons of the past. He seeks out various people from the past, including Greta (Olivia Thirlby), who gets wind of his decision and wants to document his suicide. But soon his plan starts to falter: because instead of being finally ready to carry out his suicide after his journey, the different experiences trigger a new will to live in him…
