What’s the movie about?
Aspiring pop star Erica (Christina Milian) simply had it all: success, fame and a bright future in the music business. But the ambitious singer has to face the truth and realize that her career has long since hit rock bottom. When she reluctantly accepts an engagement as an entertainer at a luxurious island resort in Mauritius, she ends up, to make matters worse, at the wedding of her ex-fiancé Jason (Jay Pharoah). With all her might, she must try to keep their shared and long-gone relationship a secret from his bride-to-be Beverly (Christiani Pitts). But love always plays by its own rules: Erica rediscovers her feelings for her ex Jason, despite his brother Caleb’s (Sinqua Walls) attempts to stop her. The feelings are stronger and already Erica and Jason are falling in love again. Soon the question is whether Erica will sing at Beverly’s wedding – or her own?
