What’s the movie about?
Miles Morales is not like any other teenager: Since he was bitten by a mysterious spider, he has superhuman powers, a spider sense that warns him of danger, and can crawl up walls. His abilities are thus similar to those of Peter Parker aka Spider-Man (Chris Pine), whom Miles meets by chance shortly after the spider bite. However, Spider-Man dies fighting the Green Goblin (Jorma Taccone) and the Kingpin (Liev Schreiber) and the powerful gangster boss manages to open a portal to different parallel dimensions. When Miles meets another Spider-Man (Jake Johnson) some time later, he is understandably highly confused. But Peter B. Parker is from a parallel world, from another Earth, and needs to get back there as soon as possible. He takes Miles under his wing and helps him improve his skills. And as it turns out, there are other spider-people stranded in Miles’ dimension, including Gwen Stacy aka Spider-Gwen (Hailee Steinfeld), Spider-Man Noir (Nicolas Cage) and Spider-Ham (John Mulaney)…
