What’s the movie about?
The two outsiders Nadine (Hailee Steinfeld) and Krista (Haley Lu Richardson) are best friends and love being able to attend the same school together. Not only do they get to see each other every day, but together they can at least tolerate school life and the problems of growing up to some extent. But their friendship is threatened when Krista starts a relationship with Nadine’s extremely popular and successful brother Darian (Blake Jenner). Suddenly, Nadine must cope with her life all alone and feels more lonely and desperate than ever before. That’s when she meets thoughtful Erwin (Hayden Szeto) and regains hope that life isn’t so terrible after all. At the same time, she longs for someone with whom she could talk about her feelings towards her new acquaintance…
