What’s the movie about?
In the 1960s, Jennifer Stirling (Shailene Woodley) wakes up in a hospital and can remember absolutely nothing. However, she has a passionately written letter with her, signed simply with the letter “B.”. Apparently, it came from a man for whom Jennifer was willing to risk everything. Meanwhile, in 2003 London, determined journalist Ellie Haworth (Felicity Jones) also comes across the letter and develops a real obsession because she is desperate to find out what happened to the lovers of that time. Apparently Jennifer, who was actually married to Laurence (Joe Alwyn), had an affair with Anthony O’Hare (Callum Turner) and the two wrote each other a whole series of love letters…
