What’s the movie about?
Master thief Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) served time in prison after relieving his employer of a fortune. Back on the loose, he visits his daughter Cassie (Abby Ryder Fortson). But in order for Lang to see her more often, his ex-wife Maggie (Judy Greer) sets a condition: The former inmate should get a job and use the salary to make the outstanding child support payments. When Lang realizes that with honest work it would be more than a year before he could see Cassie again, he decides to take up the offer of his former cellmate Luis (Michael Peรฑa) and help him break into the home of biochemist Dr. Hank Pym (Michael Douglas). The thief is impressed by Lang’s abilities and instead of having him arrested, he lets the thief in on the secret of the Ant-Man suit he invented, whose wearer can shrink to the size of an ant while gaining strength – a powerful technique that also arouses desires among shady characters like Darren Cross (Corey Stoll). He is the ex-assistant of the suit’s creator and wants to abuse the shrinking technique for sinister purposes. Pym, Lang and Pym’s daughter Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) try to protect the invention from Cross…
