What’s the movie about?
16-year-old Jamie (Max Harwood) has never really belonged anywhere. At home in Sheffield he leads a rather secluded life, his father Wayne (Ralph Ineson) would like to have a “real” son and at school he is bullied because he is different from the other boys his age. But then he meets Hugo Battersby aka Loco Chanelle (Richard E. Grant), who runs a store for drag queens. Hugo helps Jamie to stand by himself and his dreams and with the help of his caring mother Margaret (Sarah Lancashire) and his girlfriend Pritti Pasha (Lauren Patel), whom he can always rely on, he puts aside his fear of the future, overcomes his shadow, steps on stage as a drag queen and presents a completely new version of himself.
