What’s the movie about?
The Minions have been around since the dawn of time, and the little yellow helpers see the only purpose of their existence as serving a villain. But time and again, the masters, including Count Dracula and Napoleon, die in front of their noses – and the clumsy Minions usually bear some of the blame. But without a task, the little ones are deadly unhappy, and when they run out of villains, they retreat to the ice desert and remain there in depression for many, many years – until finally, in the 1960s, 42 years before the encounter with Gru, the bravest Minion and two companions make the decision to look for a new master. And so Stuart, Kevin and Bob set off for a convention of the very biggest meanies. There they run into the megalomaniac Scarlet Overkill and her husband, the scientist Herb Overkill (Jon Hamm). Scarlet wants to become the first female supervillain and the little henchmen come just in time for her…
