What’s the movie about?
Serious but clumsy New York FBI agent Sarah Ashburn (Sandra Bullock) is a loner. She has no friends and is regularly teased by her colleagues. In order to arrest a drug lord who is up to no good in Boston, she is transferred there and is assisted by local patrolman Shannon Mullins (Melissa McCarthy). Sarah is not at all thrilled about this and feels overrun. The resolute Shannon is also not very fond of her new colleague, because she also has some difficulties with interpersonal relationships and, like Sarah, has never had a partner. And there’s something else the otherwise contrasting law enforcement officers have in common – they both have a very idiosyncratic way of fighting crime. In their hunt for the Russian drug lord, chaos takes its course.
